Springbrook Expands in Central New York with Inclusive Housing Development

Cortland, NY – Springbrook, one of New York State’s leading providers of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), is proud to announce that Regan Development Corporation has been awarded $9.3 million in funding through the New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) to support the development of Cortlandville Commons, a 68-unit affordable and supportive housing community located in the Town of Cortlandville.

In partnership with Regan Development Corporation, Springbrook has also secured funding through Integrated Supportive Housing (ISH) provided by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). This funding will support the development of 11 apartments within the 68-unit community that will be specifically designated for individuals with developmental disabilities. Springbrook will serve as the housing support provider, ensuring residents receive the services and supports needed to live successfully in the community.

“Cortlandville Commons reflects what is possible when inclusion and connection are intentionally built into a shared space,” said Springbrook Community Connections Executive Director, Kimberly Corbett. “At Springbrook, our mission is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live rich, meaningful lives as valued members of their communities. Cortlandville Commons helps bring that vision to life by creating a welcoming space where people of all abilities can live, connect, and thrive together.”

Springbrook brings extensive experience in inclusive housing development, including its successful partnership on Century Sunrise Residences in Johnson City, The Ford on Main in Oneonta, and more recently, the Commonspace Apartments in Syracuse. These developments reflect a strong track record of Springbrook’s partnerships, highlighting that this new project continues with one focused on creating inclusive, community-based housing opportunities.

As the Cortlandville Commons moves one step closer to becoming an inclusive community, Springbrook continues to lead the way in creating housing solutions that promote independence, dignity, and connection.
