Find connections in your community!

Springbrook’s Day Habilitation program provides person-centered support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, focusing on developing life skills, exploring interests, and forming meaningful connections. Through community involvement and on-site activities, people are empowered to lead active, fulfilling lives. Not sure where to start? Contact us for more information!

Oneonta Day Habilitation provides adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities a welcoming place to connect, engage with their community, and build meaningful friendships.

A favorite highlight of the program is the visit from therapy dogs, Jake and Bailey, who bring joy and excitement wherever they go. As they enter the cafeteria, you can hear delighted calls of, “Look at the dogs!” Their tails wag nonstop as participants gather to give them plenty of pets and attention, creating moments of pure happiness.

Participants at Oneonta Day Hab enjoy a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts, gardening, and outdoor walks. The cafeteria often becomes a hub of connection, hosting garden and book clubs where individuals share updates on their latest projects or favorite reads. Throughout the month, a variety of events—from talent shows and outdoor water activities to Valentine’s lunches and Thanksgiving dinners—create ongoing opportunities for fun, celebration, and community.

Interested in attending Oneonta Day Habilitation?

At Norwich Day Habilitation, you will find the most meaningful connections built with each person you meet. Relationships are at the heart of everything we do, creating a welcoming environment where people are encouraged to explore their interests, build skills, and engage with the world around them.

Throughout the year, people supported at Norwich Day Habilitation program enjoy themed weeks and activities that encourage learning, creativity, and community involvement. Seasonal celebrations bring everyone together, from festive holiday gatherings where community members and Springbrook’s therapy team visit dressed as beloved characters like Santa Claus, The Grinch, and Cindy Lou Who. Celebrations also welcome festive meals prepared by staff for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, and other occasions.

Connections extend beyond the walls of the program and into the community. Day Hab participants regularly visit local parks to learn about nature and wildlife, participate in environmental stewardship activities such as community cleanups, and explore local destinations throughout Chenango County. Partnerships with local organizations and businesses create unique experiences, including opportunities to meet baby goats from a nearby farm, attend new movie releases at the local theater, and take part in community events throughout the year.
